Overheard @ our house

Periodically, people say stupid things. Often people do stupid things, but there are already posts (and sites) galore about that.

Here are a couple of things that someone in our house said with completely serious intent. However, now they seem just silly.

  • Lucas, please don’t ride the kitty.
  • I don’t want anyone to touch anyone ever again.
  • Listen to my ears. [Meant to be ‘Listen to my words’, or possibly ‘Use your ears.’ Pulled a Scott - mixed my metaphors.]

I’m sure there’ll be more…I get a kick out of thinking back on the situation and the subsequent remarks…

“I’m Jenwin.” [My wife, Jennifer, meant to say “I’m genuine.”] I still belly laugh thinking of it.

Haven’t had an office -ism in quite a while…then again, I’ve elected to stop listening to my coworkers altogether.

Jenwin…that’s good! I kinda like it–you should start calling her that.

I get in serious trouble when I do so I use it sparingly.

In self defense, the Jenwin thing, I WAS DRUNK! geeze….we all say odd things when we have tipped back a few. Jason………wait until you get home……….. Sooooooooo, I have one that I wanted to add. So Gabriel “Fluffed” and he tried to pretend that he didn’t, but of course Collin and I both heard him, then Collin says, “Bub, you bart??” I about died laughing. He can say fart, but it seems he prefers “Bart”. hee hee
