A romantic I’m not
It seems I’m a creature of habit. For years, I’ve bought into the scam that is iwon.com. I go there just about every day, get my 100 entries, and get out. I’ve never won anything (surprise!), and I’ve never known anyone to win anything except for some schmo on Howard Stern’s morning show. Course, even that show tanked (really, who will pay for radio, for crying out loud!?). Oh well, I digress.
So, the point of this post is not about iwon or Howard Stern. I’ve spent too much time on those two subjects already. This post is about romanticism.
Iwon has a section called ‘Iwon Today’. This is a-tip-a-day kind of thing. One of the tips is Romantic Tip. The wife will testify to this, but I’m at the lower end of the romantic scale (I think I start the bell curve). After all this time, I think I know why. Read the above link. Do you think it’s romantic? Cause I don’t; that’s just freaking stupid. I’m sorry, hon, if you read this, but man, that’s drivel and annoying. It’s worse than PDA (Public Display of Affection), cause it’s the words of someone’s PDA.
And yet, I read that stupid thing just about every day–hoping that something “romantic” won’t be the same as “stupid”, and I can use it to surprise my wife somewhere along the way. Here’s to hoping. [cheers!]
Maybe tomorrow’s tip will be useful…
(By the way, it doesn’t matter what day you read this, all the tips are pretty much in the same vein.)
