Property VI (in pictures)
As followup to my last post (yesterday), we have taken many pictures, and I’m working on a way to better organize/display them. However, for now, here’s a short description followed by a link to see the shot.
- Driveway from road (look at before and after, BIG difference, though the pics do not do it justice). This is standing across the road, looking east. Note the pink flags on the stakes (when you can see it in the pic). Also, we plan to keep the two tall Douglas Firs on either side of the driveway.
- Before horizontal vertical
- After horizontal 1 horizontal 2 horizontal 3 small debris pile
- Driveway looking west (back toward road). This is near the midpoint of the driveway, looking back west. Note the mega-mound of blackberries. That group of vines stood approximately 8-10′ tall. In “after’” pics, note there’s now a trench through them.
- Driveway looking east now. In the first, you can see Jeff walking toward where the home site will eventually be. The driveway comes in fairly strait heading east. After ~400′, it curves to the north, into the stand of Douglas Fir trees. Note there are no ‘after’ images–actually looks about the same at this point because this part isn’t treed.
- Now, at the curve (where Jeff was standing). Probably quite hard to pick out, but there are 2 very, very old Walnut trees (100+ years) in this area. These 2 trees stay (most definitely) and will be in the back corners of the property.
- Finally some “fun” stuff of what they did in the first day.
