This actually occurred quite some time ago–about 1.5 years, I think–and only now am I getting around to actually posting it.

I cannot remember the situation, but the kids (mainly Brendan) got mad at me over something. Out of anger, frustration, whatever, the kids went into their room and shut the door. Here is the note they wanted to put up:

In my opinion, here’s the beauty of the whole thing: After Brendan’s frustration and outburst at me, he came out of his room a couple minutes later to ask me for tape and to put that up on his door. So, pissed at me, yes–yet not so much as to not ask me for help. Still makes me chuckle, and the note is on their door to this day.
