I appreciate that bro! At this point, I really want nothing to do with the first lender. Given they way they have handled this, I would not want to be at their mercy each and every month, waiting for their inspector to approve the work done before we can pay our subcontractors. Perpetual headache, that's what that seems like.

It's quite early yet, but so far both Michelle and I have good vibes from the new finance person. Also on the bright side, our "consultant" (aka father-in-law builder-type-guy) has stated that the rest of the project should be a breeze given what we've already gone through. So, we got that going for us ... which is nice.

Hang in there, little bro. It'll all work out in the end, maybe just not as quickly and easily as you'd like. While we've been communicating, I've been wondering if you'd been thinking about saying "so long" to the current lender. I think that's a good move. Did you let them know that they now have competition? Even if that spurred them to action, I'd be tempted to wait for the second lender to make their offer. Keep in mind that although you probably don't feel like "the cutomer", you ARE!! THEY should be trying to get YOUR business, not the other way around!
