Barn Progress
*knock on wood so as not to jinx things*
Hopefully, life will calm down just a bit starting this week. The boys are out of school–and while that may cause certain aspects of life to get more complex, at least all the school-related activities have ceased. Mostly baseball. Since I was essentially coaching Brendan’s team, and assistant coaching Lucas’s, along with the house and pregnancy, there was little time for other things–like my job, or often, this blog.
Now, with some quiet expected, I should like to catch up on a few things.
In terms of The Barn, the exterior is now complete. Well, 98% complete, but I’ll get to that. I believe I’ve posted before about progress, but now there are pictures to prove it. Enter Exterior Painting pictures. The siding and windows are indeed complete, contrary to these pictures. The one window was left out to allow for the drywall delivery upstairs. I mentioned 98% done because there is some small touch-up to do on the paint, as well as the trim. I can’t say I’m looking too forward to that, as the two peak walls are at quite an elevation.
Also, the drywall is in. It’s crazy how shaped the house is once that piece is in place. Obviously, when you think about it, that makes sense. But it really changes the feel of things.
More posts to come soon…with more pictures. Check back!
