What’s in a name?

What do you think of this…

The (great) guy that setup and handles our phone technology needs has a last name of ‘Tap’. That’s right: Tap.

So, is it purely ironic & just a coincidence?
Do you think he ever struggles with the ethics while setting up phone lines to listen in?
Was it destiny that he became involved with phones?
Perhaps a long-ago ancestor silently listened in to a conversation, and hence the phrase is actually named after him?

Wonder who else I know that has a name suitable to their line of work… ?

Maybe you were destined to become a judge and you blew it.

(You know, the law. Murphy’s Law. Nevermind.)

…or maybe I (we) was (were) destined to be a pessimist, but avoided that (?).

No. I’m a pessimist. Why set yourself up for disappointment?

There used to be a urologist in Midland named, “Dr. Seymore.” (see more…)

RE: pessimist — optimists aren’t disappointed because they see the opportunity when presented with the obstacle.

RE: Seymore — somehow, I think I’d trust his (her) opinion when it comes to medical things.
